EPH97 Routine Vaccination Coverage in EL Carmen De Bolivar, Colombia: A Survey of Children Under 6 Years of Age, 2021

We evaluated the coverages of expanded program immunization in children under 6 years old for 2021. conducted a cross-sectional survey from October to November 2021, poor municipality Colombia (73,653 inhabitants, 5,796 <6 year) mainly affected by armed conflict. A two-stage cluster sampling with precision 5.5% and design effect 2 was performed. considered non-response rate 20%. In each household, we determined age-appropriate routine antigen coverage year age based on vaccination card. Basic sociodemographic data household surveys caregivers were gathered. Multivariate regression analysis show timely-vaccine key drivers. Overall most biologics at 18 months >94%, cards 175 (86.2% all surveyed). Vaccination absolute yellow fever second doses influenza, boosters (first MMR [measles, mumps, rubella] polio DPT) ranges between 80-84%. Three (BCG, hepatitis B, rotavirus) had timely 90-94%. Most vaccine 74.1-89.7% (pneumococcal [first third doses]; pentavalent, polio, DPT boosters). The dose pneumococcal pentavalent showed 62.7-64.8%. Lowest (3.4%) influenza (46.8% first 26.8% dosage). Mother’s education birth order significantly associated higher odds. Our findings highlight need concerted efforts improve post-conflict pandemic scenario, especially vaccines. Low several vaccines potentially explained shortages.
